The Best
Listed in order of best-est-ness:

- The Farewell
- Little Women
- HOMECOMING: A Film by Beyoncé (I’m in the Beyhive, don’t @ me)
- Parasite
- Midsommar
- Avengers: Endgame
- Knives Out
- Waves
- The Irishman
Now, it’s always a big challenge to put these together without feeling like I’ve personally offended a movie, so here is a list of honorable mentions: 1917, Booksmart, Crawl, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, Jojo Rabbit, and Marriage Story.
The Disappointments
For a host of reasons, I saw far fewer films this year than I did in previous years. For that reason, I don’t really have a “Worst of” list for 2019. Instead, here are my biggest disappointments of the year, in alphabetical order.
- Dark Phoenix
- Dumbo
- Wine Country
And that’s the wrap-up! Hopefully, next year, I will have seen far more movies and will have far less of the flu.
